Sani Pass: This is a wonderful outing that can be done as a full day tour from Durban. We travel to Underberg where we change over into a 4×4 vehicle for the ascent up the Sani Pass and into Lesotho. We have an opportunity to visit a local home and to learn about some of the culture and traditions of the Basotho people before having a light lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa. We descend back down the Pass and return to Durban. Tour duration approx 12 hours. Passports essential.
Full day tour to St Lucia: The Isimangaliso wetlands are a World Heritage Site and a great place to experience pristine beaches, beautiful coastal forests, and the wonderful creatures that reside in the area. We take a 2 hour boat cruise up the estuary to see some of the hippos and amazing bird life spotted along the shores. Departure from Durban, Tour duration approx 11 hours.
Half day tour to Tala Game Reserve: This lovely reserve is just an hour away from Durban and has a fantastic selection of wildlife to see, from the Tallest Animal to the Largest Bird. We return to Durban through the picturesque Valley of 1000 hills and arrangements can be made to stop for a delicious lunch before returning to the city in the early afternoon.
Two day tour to Zululand: Although it is possible to do a full day safari to Hluhluwe, I prefer to make it a two day trip. We combine it with a tour to the Isimangaliso wetlands and we stay overnight in the area, and then take an open safari drive the following morning, before returning to Durban in the late afternoon.
